I am so incredibly excited to share this 2014 wedding on the Ipomea blog! I can never truly pick a favorite but this wedding is up at the tippy top of my all time favs list! The precious, fragrant blooms combined with the stunning bride, handsome groom and a bridal party straight out of America’s Top Model- how could you not LOVE this wedding? Classic, romantic and poetic are just a few words I’d use to describe this fantastic event. One thing that makes a wedding extra memorable are the people involved. When it came to their wedding Alissa and Jeff had a vision of traditional meets modern with a touch of softness. One of the best things about working with them was that they were really open to different ideas about how to accomplish their vision. They listened to my ideas but also came up with all sorts of ideas too, I always love when people bring different options to the table! Collaborating with them was so much fun and makes me really appreciate what I do as a designer. The process of creating custom florals is truly an artistic one. We have to consider the venue (River Roast Chicago in this case), the season, and the overall wedding style and color palette. For this wedding we used flowers that were fluffy and lush, with hints of greenery and sweet pastels as an accent. I just can’t say enough how much I loved working with Alissa and Jeff and I hope their marriage is one of fairytales, just like their wedding! It also can’t go without saying how PERFECTLY Kina Wicks Photography captured this tremendous affair. Her photography is the stuff of dreams and I am so grateful that she used her talents to capture so many beautiful images of our work! Thank you, Kina! If you’d like to see more of our work on this event you can check it out at Elizabeth Anne Designs blog. Enjoy!
